This year’s oral exam is going to involve 3 scenarios we have to memorize. I’ve written all mine out, but I was wondering if someone with more knowledge of the language (I’m only in my third semester) could double check them. Don’t worry – they’re super short. There are a few things I’m just not sure how to say. :(
I put them in Pinyin to make things easier.
Scenario 1 (leaving a message for someone about a party).
Ni hao, ___! Shi wo, Jia Li. Wo gei ni da liang ci dian hua, ke shi mei ren jie. Zhe ge xing qi wu Xiao Wang guo sheng ri, wo da suan bang ta kai yi ge shengri wu hui (I am throwing him a party - not sure how to say this). Li You, Xiao Jin, hai you Xiao Bai hui qu. Wo men zai wo jia liu dian kai shi, xian chi wan fan, ranhou tiao wu chang ge. Ni ke yi dai qi shui hai shi pi jiu. Qing ni gei wo da dian hua, gaosu wo yao bu yao lai jie ni. Zai jian!
Scenario 2 (commenting on a photo of someone's son).
Zhe shi ni er zi ma? (Other person’s answer). Ta de yan jing da da de, bi zi gao gao de, tui chang chang de, zhang de hen xiang ni! Ta shu shen me? (Other person’s answer). Ta hen ke ai, jiang lai yi ding hen shuai.
Scenario 3 (patient at doctor’s office).
Ni sheng shen me bing? <- We have to ask “what is wrong with the patient.” I’m not sure if this is right.
Ni nar bu shufu? <- We have to ask “what symptoms does the patient has.” I’m not sure how to phrase that.
Ni bu yong da zhen, chi zhe zhong yao jiu ke yi. Yi tian san ci, yi ci liang pian, fan qian chi.
Xiexie! I really appreciate it. <3
